Everything about the 365 GTB Ferrari

The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is one of the most iconic sports cars of its time. Although Ferrari never officially used the name, the car was nicknamed “Daytona” in tribute to its impressive 1-2-3 victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967.

The Daytona, produced between 1968 and 1973, quickly became a favorite among car enthusiasts thanks to its powerful performance, striking design and the offer of two versions: the panel-top Berlinetta (GTB) and the open-top Spider (GTS).

What makes the Ferrari 365 Daytona so special?

The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is special because of its powerful performance, timeless design and the fact that it was one of the last Ferraris to feature a front-mounted V12 engine before Ferrari switched to mid-engine layouts for their top models. The Daytona was equipped with a 4,4-liter V12 engine that produced 352 horsepower, which offered exceptional performance for the time, including a top speed of over 280 km/h. This combination of power and elegance made the Daytona one of the fastest and most desirable cars of its time.

What makes the Daytona even more exclusive is the limited number of units produced. Approximately 1.284 units of the closed Berlinetta (GTB) were made, while only 122 units of the rare open-top version, the Spider (GTS), were built. This has made the Daytona a coveted collector's item among car enthusiasts and collectors. The Daytona remains a symbol of Ferrari's golden age of sports cars to this day.
