Description
The DAF Daffodil 32 is a car type from the Dutch car brand DAF. The Daffodil 32 was presented in September 1965 as the successor to the DAF Daffodil 31. The Daffodil 32 was available as “Standard”, “Luxury” and “Luxury extra”, with the first being the least and the last the most luxurious. The type was also available as a Combi, Order and Pick-up. The most important changes consisted of a face lift of the Daf a-body. Technically there were few changes. In 1967 the Daffodil 32 was succeeded by the DAF 33.
The Daffodil 32 is equipped with the same engine as its predecessor: a 746cc air-cooled four-stroke two-cylinder boxer engine. This engine produces 30 SAE HP. Naturally, this type was equipped with DAF's continuously variable transmission: the Variomatic, which otherwise remained unchanged. In the spring of 1967, the automatic centrifugal clutch was slightly modified because the dragging and pulling shoes are now controlled with four springs instead of eight. Another small change was the steering reduction.
