footnotes

The Cadillac Automobile Company of Detroit, Michigan, founded by Henry Leland and Robert Faulconer, completed its first car in October 1902. The company's superior precision manufacturing technology quickly made it the premier builder of quality automobiles in the US. Cadillac was one of the pioneers of the V8 engine and introduced the first synchromesh gearbox in its 1929 series. Ever an innovator in automotive technology, the company continues to produce cars that are recognized everywhere as symbols of wealth and prestige.

In 1962 the car was sold to Mr Armand Blaton, a wealthy Belgian industrialist, by the 'administration des biens du Roi Leopold III' (documentation available). The aforementioned deceased owner registered the Cadillac in 1962 (cancelled in 1968) and again in 1994, and also registered it with the Cadillac Lasalle Club of Belgium. The previous owner recently carried out an extensive overhaul to make the car roadworthy after a long period of storage with the Blaton family and has already driven the 100.000 kilometers on the odometer.

This spectacular car with a great history, a wonderful example of 50s American car styling, is offered with copies of the aforementioned documentation; a copy of the Belgian registration papers from 1994 (stamped); miscellaneous correspondence; and owner's notes.
