Description
The Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe are American passenger cars produced by Chevrolet between 1933 and 1942 to replace the 1933 Master Eagle. It was the more expensive model in the Chevrolet range at the time, with the Standard Mercury offering an affordable product between 1933 and 1937. From this generation on, all GM cars had a business look thanks to the Art and Color Section led by Harley Earl. From 1940, a more expensive version was launched based on the Master Deluxe, the Special Deluxe. The updated corporate look introduced a hidden radiator behind a facade with a grille.

The Master now replaced the lower priced one Standard Six , while the Deluxe Master with higher equipment the range moved upwards. While external differentiation was limited to trim and equipment, the Master introduced Deluxe independent front suspension while the Master retained a beam front axle on leaf springs.
