What is a vintage truck? A vintage truck is only considered a vintage vehicle when it is older than 40 years. In the Netherlands, owners of vintage trucks can benefit from an exemption from motor vehicle tax (mrb) if their vehicle is older than 40 years. “You do not have to pay MRB on your truck when your vintage vehicle is older than 40 years. It concerns the date of first admission on your registration certificate. This must be 40 years or older; you do not use your truck or bus for your business,” according to the Dutch government.
