Description
The Goggomobil Dart was a microcar developed in Australia by the Buckle Motors company and produced from 1959 to 1961.
The Dart was based on the chassis and mechanical components of the German Goggomobil microcar, a product of Hans Glas GmbH of Dingolfing, Bavaria, Germany. The car featured an Australian-designed, two-seater, open fibreglass sports car body with no doors, the whole package weighing just 345 kg. It was powered by a rear-mounted, two-cylinder, two-stroke engine available in both 300 cc and 400 cc variants, and had a small luggage compartment built into the nose. The Dart was designed in 1958 and went on sale the following year, with approximately 700 examples produced by the time production ceased in September 1961. This car has a fresh paint job, a new interior, and has been converted from right to left. A real head turner.
