De 2PK, 2CV (French: Deux chevaux), mostly in Belgium goat mentioned and often in the Netherlands (ugly) duck, is a car from the French car manufacturer Citroën. The abbreviation stands for 'Deux Chevaux', that two horsepower means, a measure resulting from the complicated calculation of French road tax. Series production of the 2CV ran from July 11, 1949 to July 27, 1990. During that period, 5.144.966 were built, of which 3.898.631 were 2CVs and 1.246.335 were 2CVs.delivery loans; this number rises to almost 9 million when the sister models Dyane, AMI, Mehari en FAF are counted. The appearance of the 2CV was, just like that of the Citroen ID/DS and the Traction Avant, designed by Flaminio Bertonic.
