Fiat Multipla Taxi

The Multipla was a variant of the popular Fiat 600 (Seicento), which was produced from 1955 to 1969. It appeared in April 1956 and was equipped with a four-cylinder engine with 633 cc, which delivered 22 hp.

The Fiat 600 Multipla seems to drive 'backwards': there is nothing in front of the windscreen, while the rear slopes diagonally. Because the engine block is located at the rear, Dante Giacosa, who headed Fiat's technical department at the time, had to move the passenger compartment forward. This resulted in extra weight on the front axle, so the front suspension from the larger Fiat 1100 was used for the 600 Multipla.
