The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a model of the car brand Mercedes-Benz. The name E-Class was used for the first time in 1992, before the name of this model was the Mercedes-Benz W124 (W124).
This Mercedes is often seen as 'the' Mercedes, because this (upper) middle class car is the best-selling Mercedes. In terms of positioning, the car falls between the smaller C-Class and the larger and more luxurious S-Class. Many people also see this as a 'Taxi Mercedes', because the 'E-Class' has been used for decades by almost all taxi companies due to its interior space and relatively low costs per kilometer. These Mercedes diesel engines are known for their longevity, mileage of more than 1 million kilometers has already been achieved more than once.
The E-Class has a wide range of engines. Different petrol engines and also different diesels. The entry-level model of the W211 model (2002-2009) is the 200 compressor petrol engine. The top model is the E 63 AMG with 514 hp. The top model of the diesel engines is the E 420 CDI, the entry-level model is the E 200 CDI.
