Description
CP stands for Camion Pesante (heavy truck) and 48 refers to the year of introduction 1948.
Lancia was originally known for its luxury passenger cars. Over the years, however, the company also began producing trucks to meet the demand for commercial vehicles. These trucks were produced at various Lancia factories, including the Bolzano plant.
The Lancia truck factory in Bolzano produced several truck models, including the Esatau and Esadelta.
Lancia was known for its technical innovations in the automotive industry, and this innovative approach was also applied to its trucks. They were designed with a focus on performance, reliability, and comfort.
Over time, Lancia's focus shifted, shifting more toward passenger car production. As a result, truck production was gradually phased out. In 1969, Lancia ceased truck production entirely.
