Description
The Scania 140 is perhaps one of the most legendary trucks of the 70s, especially in international and heavy transport.
It was presented in 1969 and production ran until 1976, after which the 141 came onto the market.
The 140 had the DS14 V8 diesel engine, a 14-litre V8 with 350 hp.
It was Scania's first V8 engine, and an immediate game changer in the market.
This engine was known for its powerful, raw sound. Many drivers recognized a Scania V8 from miles away.
The car was very comfortable for its time: air-sprung seats, relatively quiet cabin, and more luxury than most competitors.
A true Scania design with the recognisable grille and the large “140” emblem, something drivers were proud of.
The cabin had extra storage space and amenities for long journeys.
