Description
In 1956 the Unimog 411 was made, the evolution of the 401 model. This model is equipped with a four-cylinder diesel engine from 36 pk . The main change compared to the 401 is the new three-point subframe system which, in combination with the “hydraulic cylinder” option, allows the 411 the “three buckets” function, allowing the platform to be tilted to the left, to the right. or backwards. This model offered the synchronized gearbox as an option in 1957 and completely abolished the dog clutch gearbox in 1959 by having the synchronized gearbox as standard. These Unimogs were all driven in France with the B driving license. This model, adopted by farmers, could be identified as an agricultural tractor on the registration certificate, which would prevent the vehicle from being subject to roadworthiness testing.
From 1957 the 411 could have an optional closed cabin, built by the Westfalia company. The 411 offers many options such as hydraulic three-point hitch, three-point hitch, power take-offs, Busatis mower, Mercedes Typ B winch, etc.
The 411 remains the benchmark until the mid-XNUMXs.
