🏭 History and development
In 1965, Volvo introduced the “System 8”, presenting the N88 as the successor to the Titan. While retaining the Titan's cabin, the N88 was equipped with new technologies derived from the F88, including the improved engine, transmission and chassis.
The N88 was available in several configurations, including 4×2, 6×2, 6×4 and 8×4, and was often used for heavy haulage and long-haul transport.
