BMW 2002 Turbo
The fastest version of BMW's 02 series made its debut in September 1973 at the IAA in Frankfurt. The iconic 2002 Turbo, with its typical 1970s stripes, featured a KKK turbocharger – the first in a European production car. The turbo technology boosted the fuel-injected engine of the 2002 tii by another 40 hp. The BMW 2002 Turbo had a top speed of over 210 km/h. However, the model entered the market at exactly the wrong time. Due to the outbreak of the oil crisis, the petrol-guzzler model was relegated to a marginal role. Only 1672 examples were built from the spring of 1974 to the summer of 1975. They were available exclusively in white (Chamonix) and silver-grey (Polaris metallic). This BMW Turbo is a perfectly restored example and has Italian registration plates. The underside still looks perfect, as does the trunk of the car. The body panels all fit together well. It has a beautiful black interior with bucket seats, and everything under the hood still looks like new.
