Buick Super Eight
In 1953, Buick's mid-priced line shared the Roadmaster's new V8, and for that year, the Roadmaster shared the 121,5-inch (3.086 mm) wheelbase of the Super and Special. The Super received a horizontal trim bar on the rear fenders, distinguishing it from the Series 70 Roadmasters. Otherwise, the side trim on the rear fenders was identical, although the Super had only three VentiPorts on each front fender. Series identification was found on the deck emblem. Full hubcaps were now standard. The V in the bomb aimer ornament indicated the V8 power under the hood. The interior of most models was made of nylon and silky cloth. The convertible was equipped as standard with power windows, seat, and roof. Dynaflow was now standard equipment. A total of 190.514 Supers were sold. This Buick we present here is a good driving car and is still completely original. The V8 engine runs very smoothly. The roof is operated by a button, as are the windows, which were also hydraulic.
