In 1963, the first major restyling took place and the Sting Ray was born. The car also featured the typical visual 'break line' running along the entire flank, and was equipped with the characteristic tapered roof that was reminiscent of a shark. Furthermore, the C2 had pop-up headlights and exhausts that protruded from the rear bumper.

The C2 was extra special because it was equipped with fuel injection, which was extremely rare in the United States at the time.

The C2s delivered in 1963, production of which had already begun in September 1962, were more experimental in nature. These can be recognized by their split rear window. From 1964 onwards, the cars were fitted with a full rear window. The hubcaps of the 1963 models were also more richly decorated than those of the later C2s.

The typical split rear window, the grilles in the hood and the small differences with the models from later years would ultimately ensure that C2s from 1963 became a popular collector's item. From 1964 onwards, consumers could opt for an electronic starter motor. The 1967 version had graceful exhausts running down the side.

This C2 is a red car with black upholstery. It is a fantastic Corvette that still looks like new under the hood. It also drives, steers and shifts great. It has a manual gearbox.
