Facel Vega HK
The Facel Vega HK500 was introduced before 1959. Essentially, it was simply a renamed, upgraded FVS. Initially equipped with the FVS's 335 hp (246 kW) 5,8-liter V8, the HK500 soon received a 360 hp (265 kW) 6,3-liter Chrysler V8, giving it a top speed of 147 mph (237 km/h). It could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 8,5 seconds. Initially, disc brakes were optional, and in April 1960, they became standard. The Facel Vega II replaced the HK500 in 1962, after 489 had been built. One of them was a specially made convertible. Total FV/HK production amounted to 842 or 846, depending on the source. This car presented here is a metallic blue Facel with a light blue interior. The wood in the interior still looks very nice. Actually, it is painted metal, but this was a trademark of Facel Vega!
