Ferrari 250 GT .1960.
The Ferrari 250 GT Coupé represented a series of grand road touring cars produced by Ferrari between 1954 and 1960. The 250 Europa GT, presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1954, was the first in the GT line. The Pinin Farina design was seen as a more refined version of their sporty Berlinetta 250 MM. Series-produced cars were a response to the demand from a wealthy clientele for a sporty and luxurious Ferrari Gran Turismo that was also easier to use on a daily basis. Common to all 250 GT cars was the 3,0-liter Colombo V12 engine and the fact that they were all two-seaters. The Europa GT was soon followed by the Pinin Farina-designed 250 GT Coupé. When the production capacities of the Carrozzeria Pinin Farina were expanded at that time, the cars were initially built at the Carrozzeria Boano and subsequently at the Carrozzeria Ellena. After body production was transferred to Pinin Farina, Ferrari was able to produce the Coupé in larger numbers than before.
