Jaguar E-type V12 Cabriolet
The Series III, built from 1971 to 1974, received the new Jaguar 5,3-liter V12 under the hood, along with improved brakes and standard power steering. The FHC was discontinued, and the Series 3 was only available as an OTS convertible and 2+2 coupé. The OTS also used the extended chassis of the 2+2. The Series 3 further distinguished itself with a different radiator grille, flared wheel arches, and a V12 emblem on the trunk lid. Our example came to the Netherlands from the USA in 2010. Here, the car has been partially restored, with all invoices available for inspection. It is a manual version, which is already a rarity. After all, you want a manual E-Type because then you have the power of the 12 cylinders completely under control, and that is what it is all about. Technically, this Jaguar has also been thoroughly overhauled. The last owner was a German who wanted the car to be in perfect condition. The body is Sable Brown and the interior is beige leather, a beautiful combination. You have to see this color in real life because it gives the car a chic look.
