One of only few museums in The Netherlands to do so, Metropole Museum pays attention to an important mainstay of the economy: road transport. Approximately forty historic trucks and lorries are displayed in a dedicated hall, from a small three-wheeled van to fully-equipped trailer and semi-trailer units. Almost all major lorry brands are represented: Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, M.A.N., Scania and Scania-Vabis, Büssing, GMC and Mack, including very rare examples from Lancia and the Dutch-made Hogra. You will find classic fuel trucks, vans and pick-ups, rigids with and without a tarpaulin, removal vans and tow-trucks, a low-loader and various tractor-trailer combinations. The truck collection is exceptional by Dutch standards.
